The outdoor life in San Diego, CA.

San Diego, CA is one of the cities we have had on our list to explore, we have been there before but only for a couple of days. While we were in Las Vegas, we were contacted by a couple who lives in downtown San Diego; they needed help to take care of a doggie and a cat for two weeks... What perfect timing!
After finishing with our house sitting in Las Vegas, we drove down to San Diego where we had a great time taking care of two beautiful pets and an amazing experience exploring this trendy city.

The location of the apartment couldn't be any better, we were within walking distance to all the attractions and the trolley was only a block away in case we needed the excellent public transportation this city offers... Downtown can be a bit to noisy but, it has so much life, beautiful architecture and all the modern conveniences a few steps from your door.

If you visit San Diego, take some time to explore Balboa Park. This place doesn't only offer a green area, it is also a cultural center where you would find museums, history, beautiful gardens and amazing architecture. Finish the day by eating at one of the outdoor cafes or by having a nice picnic at the park.

Another great way of spending a day is by taking a nice walk along the water front, make sure to visit the military memorial statues and the battle ship museum; then take a ferry to Coronado Island and enjoy a nice walk around this charming city.

San Diego is a multicultural city with so many beautiful outdoor spaces and amazing weather. All of these factors have made it so popular and living here can be very expensive but, on the positive side the city offers so many free activities, excellent public transportation so no need of having a car, gas and insurance payments, and you can always avoid unnecessary expenses. Just keep in mind that it's possible to have a quality life without having to have three jobs to keep the perfect "life style".

Safe travels my friends!
